About CB Vaughan

The world’s fastest human on skis in 1965 when he set the world’s record with a clocking of 106.53 m.p.h. at Portillo, Chile, CB Vaughan had an illustrious skiing career as a collegian at St. Lawrence.

Included in his many victories were several Skimeister wins as he competed in all four events (downhill, cross country, jump and slalom) for the Saints.

His strongest events were the Alpine events and he was EISA Champion in 1963 as well as North American Alpine Champion the same year. Vaughan finished fifth in the 1964 Olympic Team competition at Stowe and was a member of the U.S. Team.

A native of Manchester Depot, VT, he is now noted for his quality line of ski apparel.
